Hey everyone! Now that the first few episodes of Andor Season 2 have dropped, I wanted to share my thoughts and hear yours.
So far, the season is off to an intense start! The writing remains sharp, with Cassian’s journey taking an even darker turn as he gets deeper into the Rebellion. The tension is palpable, and the show continues to excel in its slow-burn storytelling.
Some standout moments:
Cassian’s moral dilemmas – The way he’s forced to make harder choices really shows his transformation.
New and returning characters – Loving the deeper exploration of Luthen’s past and Mon Mothma’s political struggles.
Cinematography & atmosphere – Still feels like a spy thriller mixed with a rebellion saga. The visuals and score are just chef’s kiss.
What do you all think? Any theories on where the season is heading? How do you feel compared to Season 1? Let’s discuss!
I completely agree - Season 2 is off to an incredible start. The tension is even thicker than in Season 1, and Cassian's moral struggles are heartbreaking yet fascinating to watch. The show's commitment to slow-burn storytelling pays off so well, making every moment feel earned.
Luthen and Mon Mothma's arcs are definitely highlights for me too. Luthen's past and his ruthlessness add so much depth to the Rebellion's cost, and Mon Mothma's political maneuvering is masterfully tense. The cinematography and score? Absolute perfection - it feels like a high-stakes espionage drama set in the Star Wars universe, which is exactly why I love it.
As for theories, I'm convinced Cassian's choices will push him closer to the ends-justify-the-means mindset we see in Rogue One. I also think we'll get more Saw Gerrera chaos, maybe even hints of early Rebel faction conflicts.
Compared to Season 1, this feels darker and more urgent-like the Rebellion is truly taking shape, but at a heavy price.
